A new view

Today we turned Kara's car seat around to forward facing. When she had her year check-up she was just under 20 lbs, her weight was 25th percentile but her head size was 75th percentile. So, we decided it would be best to leave her rear facing a little longer and let her body catch up with her head some. We needed to move the shoulder straps up a notch and shes almost 14 months now, so we decided it was time to turn her around and give her a new view. I think she liked it!

We also decided it was time to turn her crib into a toddler bed. She's never liked waking up to find herself in her crib and would cry to be let out right away! Plus she's been climbing on and off the couches, so we knew she would be able to let herself down without falling. She likes her bed much better now that it doesn't feel like a cage to her and was climbing in and out of it laughing, jumping and playing peek-a-boo. And I feel much better not wondering if she's going to succeed at climbing out!
