I managed to get a picture of Andrew's two new teeth. If you click the picture to make it bigger you should be able to see them. They are hard to see, but you sure can FEEL them!
Andrew turned six months old on Sunday! At 18 lbs. 9 oz. and 27 3/4 inches he continues to be in the 75th percentile for weight and 90th for height. We said bye-bye to the baby swing because he was sitting up and leaning over the side, and hello to the outside swings. Hooray for this lovely spring-like weather we've had. Last Sunday (the 28th) he popped his bottom two teeth through. He's officially crawling now, not just backwards but he figured out forwards too. He can also sit up on his own now as well. He's super alert and curious and unless he's really hungry he gets very distracted when I try to feed him. He would much rather look around. He loves to have his arms, legs and cheeks kissed and his tummy tickled! He's a happy boy with an adorable smile and we love having him in our family!
because it's one of the few times she holds still, because she looks so peaceful, and because I need proof it happens! Thankfully she now sleeps through the night, in her own room, in her own bed, most nights... *knock on wood* To help her fall asleep at night I read her stories, and sometimes she "reads" night night stories to her dolls. This is a video of her "reading" "If You Give A Pig A Pancake" to one of her dolls on the bed behind her.
here is a translation a door, a ducks, a ducks...a piano, a piano, a lights on(lamp), a lights, a pig, a pig...a chair, then run, a chase, a pants...a lights, a lights...a books, a books, a books...a books...a chair, a chair, a chair...a book, a pig, a pig, a pig, a pig...a cake
Kara and Andrew are exactly 25 months apart and this month she is two and a half. She's very slender and still wears most of her 18 month clothes(barely), but we do buy her 2T dresses and shirts. Somethings about her haven't changed, she still loves princesses, and has an eagle eye when it comes to spotting them. Weather its a refrigerator magnet the size of a quarter, a sticker the size of a nickle on the end of the doctor's otoscope (ear flashlight), or a picture no bigger then a pea on the Joanne's ad, if there's a princes, she'll spot it! She loves to color and and paint, especially on herself, we keep her supplied with paper and coloring books for the safety of our walls and furniture. She loves dress up and can mostly dress herself now(which she often insists on), especially if we are going somewhere she is excited to go, like the park or a friends house. She loves to play in the water whether its swimming, a bath, a shower or the true northwest girl that she is even likes the rain. She still loves to sing and dance, and sings along with songs a lot more. She's also combining words and expressing herself with phrases more and more. She has figured out how to lock her car door and thinks its funny to be sneaky and re-lock her door while I'm getting Andrew out of the car. Yes, our little girl is growing up.
Andrew is five months old now and get more and more fun everyday! He smiles and laughs and chews on everything. He found his toes and likes to play with them, he also likes to play on his tummy. He can roll over, lift his tummy off the ground for a couple seconds when he's on his hands and knees, and is crawling a little too. He also loves to be cuddled and we can't resist kissing his adorable cheeks!
Andrew turned 4 months old yesterday and had his 4 month WCC. He weighs in at 15 lbs. 11 oz and is 26 inches. That puts him in the 75th percentile for weight and 90th for height. He's wearing size 6 month clothes and filling them out well. Apparently the dietary recommendations have changed and his pediatrician said it was OK to give him pureed foods, so he got his first taste of pear. I think he liked it. He pretty much likes anything he can stick in his mouth. One of his latest hobbies is sucking the corner of a blankie. A friend loaned us an exasaucer, and he is excited to be able to play standing up. So far he's a mama's boy, according to daddy every time I leave while he's sleeping he wakes up within 15 minutes and cries until I come home.
